This guide helps visitors connect to the CEIBS-WiFi6 wireless network on campus.

Applicable for MacOS 11/12/13/14/15/26

 

Step 1

On your Mac, click the Wi-Fi iconthe Wi-Fi status menu in the menu bar, then choose CEIBS-WiFi6. If you don’t see the network you want to join, click Other Networks to display nearby networks.

Additionally, only Mac with the M1 chip or higher supports Wi-Fi 6. If you choose CEIBS-WiFi6 for the connection, but encounter the error message below, please choose CEIBS-A for connection.

 

Step 2

In the pop-up window, enter your CEIBS email address as the Account Name and enter your Password, check Remember this information is recommended, then click OK.

 

Step 3

Click Continue in the pop-up Verify Certificate windows.

 

Step 4

In the pop-up eaptlstrust identity authentication windows, enter the administrator account password and click Update Settings to complete the connection.

 

Note:

It is recommended that everyone switch to the CEIBS-WiFi6 network. If you have previously connected to the CEIBS-A network, please remove the CEIBS-A connection to enjoy the new Wi-Fi 6 experience.

 

The steps to remove the CEIBS-A wireless connection are as follows:

Step 1

On your Mac, click the Wi-Fi iconthe Wi-Fi status menu in the menu bar, then choose Wi-Fi Settings....

 

Step 2

Find CEIBS-A in the Known Networks list, click the three-dot menu on its right, and select Forget This Network....

 

Step 3

In the pop-up window of Removing Wi-Fi "CEIBS-A", click Remove.
